Meet Us: 7:00 pm on Mondays, San Gabriel Presbyterian Church

Troop 2338 is a "right sized" boys' troop for any interested Scout or Scouter. We have two patrols of Scouts, and our youth are evenly distrubuted from ages 11-17. All of our boys are "Friendly," "Courteous," and eager to meet someone new. Our adult membership is strong, with experienced Scoutmasters, a full Committee, and enthusiastic parents. You will not be alone when starting out in Troop 2338, and we are proud to recommend ourselves as the perfect troop for anyone who is new to Scouting.

We take new members all year, but perhaps you are interested in meeting us first. Sometimes we're tough to pin down, since we're always out and about. But when we're not camping or serving the community, we meet at our charter site in Georgetown, Texas. You're welcome anytime!

FAQs

Question #1: Does my family have to join before I find out if we're a "fit?"

Answer: Actually, we'd rather you didn't. Meet us, spend some time around us, see how it goes. We are available most Monday nights. Come on out to our meeting site or contact us to find out where we will be next. If we don't fit, we hope you'll pursue another troop and stick with Scouting.

Question #2: Can I join as an adult?

Answer: Yes, please! Scouting is a growth opportunity for both youth and adults. You'll find ways to contribute your skills and continue to learn for a lifetime. We recommend at least one adult member per family.

Question #3: I need financial aid, what do I do?

Answer: Your membership is more important to us than your money. We fundraise throughout the year to offset activity expenses. Financial aid is also available for dues and fees. You can request it when you fill out the Troop registration forms.

Step 1: Register with Scouting America

Step 2: Register with Troop 2338

After you join Scouting with Troop 2338, our registrar will reach out to you with credentials to our member portal and a link to take you the rest of the way to joining our troop.

Step 3: Bring it IN

After you finish registration, bring two things to your next meeting:

A paper copy of Medical Forms A/B. (No emails, please.)
Troop 2338 Annual Dues + $15 T-Shirt fee. Payable amount to be sent by the treasurer.
